Finding inner joy through uncertain times

JOY “a feeling of great pleasure and happiness”.

How many people reading this can actually say they have felt Joyful this year? What has been your biggest spark of Joy? Has 2020 zapped your positive energy and turned you into a glass half empty person?. Have you entered a black hole of dread that you are struggling surface from? Then you are at the right place.

  • Stop WAITING to be happy – Life is happening right NOW. Life is going on around you and you have two choices, be happy, be present and embrace the life your living or plod on and continue feeling unfulfilled. I like to think of Autumn as a fresh start, the leaves are dying and falling to the ground but new leaves are in the process of growing in time for a spring awakening. Every time a leaf falls off a tree a new opportunity awaits you, its a chance to grow and change into a better, happier version of yourself. BE THE NEW LEAF! not the crunchy ones on the ground waiting for the wind to sweep them up and away.
  • Enjoy the Moment – Wake up in the morning, grab your favourite hot drink a pen and notebook. Write down three things you are grateful for. Are you grateful for the fact you can afford to heat a kettle so you can enjoy that coffee? or because you have been lucky enough to wake up refreshed after sleeping in a cosy warm bed? We take so much for granted in life that we sometimes overlook the small but important things. Its these small things that make a difference to your attitude, your vibe, positivity breeds positivity.
  • Keep your cup half full – You can do this by making a conscious effort to find something good out of every situation, negativity attracts more negativity. Have you ever heard someone say “bad luck comes in threes”. Think of the universe as a gigantic mirror, your world is a reflection of what you put out there. So guess what, put out that negative energy and you will receive negative energy back. The power of positivity really does allow us to project positive energy back to us. Give it a try.

XOXO
