Yesterday I woke up and when I looked out the window the sun was cracking the flags, alright maybe not to that extreme but I really thought spring had sprung. How wrong was I!
This morning I woke up, looked out of my window and it resembled Narnia, I’m not even joking. The snow was coming down thick and fast and I was super excited!
After a few texts and facebook notices Roses school ended up closing so we ended up having a Snow Day! And how fun it was! After a quick change of clothes and a cuppa tea with the neighbours we got out the sledges, built snowmen and played in the snow for a while. It was so much fun!!!
After about an hour we came in and dried ourselves off. Had a nice cup of hot chocolate and warmed up. Rose was too excited and wanted to get back out in it but after about an hour and a half it started to melt! Typical British weather, so unpredictable.
The sun came out and did its magic. Now the temperature is rising and we have been left with puddles. Not a single snowflake on the ground.
Oh well, It was nice while it lasted!
Has anybody else had a snow day?
XOXO
So much fun! I was over the snow (and they didn’t cancel any school here in the city) but it is so much fun to see kids get excited for it 🙂 ❤
